Hanshi and his team of top BKK instructors held another successful adult and junior summer camp in Felsted, Essex.
Students were taken through kihon and bunkai and kumite. An evening seminar with our Italian country representative Sensei Andrea Stoppa on basic BJJ skills.
A national and camp grading was also held for those attempting high grades including the promotion of three new third dans.
Another successful summer camp was held last week in Willisau under the guidance of Hanshi Steve Arneil, Country Representative Shihan Eddy Gabathuler and the head instructors from the Swiss IFK. The event was rounded off with a celebration of 20 years of the Swiss IFK Summer Camp plus Hanshi's 80th Birthday.

On the 25th June β 2nd July on the βKomponentβ base near Moscow there was held Inter-regional βBushido Monβ Summer Camp with Shihan Victor Fomin (VI Dan), assistant instructorβ Sensei Yulia Tseytlina (IV Dan).
There were 70 participants from Moscow (sport clubs βBushido Monβ, βSevernyβ, βShiroi Toraβ, βBercutβ, βDeltaβ, βLefortovoβ),Moscow region (Podolsk, Schelkovo), Tula, Gai (Orenburg region), Shihany(Saratov region). The Guest of Honour was Shihan Eddy Gabathuler (Country Representative of Switzerland, VI Dan) with his student Andreas Janka (2nd kyu).
8 hours a day training was concentrated on Budo karate β detailed learning of the IFK Syllabus combined with self-defense. The last one included bare hands and weapons training: Bo, Knife, Jawara with Shihan Victor Fomin and Tonfa with Shihan Eddy Gabathuler. Sayonara training session was traditionally dedicated to sword tameshigiri.
The Diamond Cup was Shinkyokushinβs first Western European only tournament. IFK fighters took 5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze at the Diamond Cup this weekend. All winners received a diamond from the sponsors..

Two seminars were held last weekend - May 30th to June 1st.
Country Representative Christen Herman Hirsh organised an open seminar in Sibiu, Romania with Hanshi Arneil assisted by Shihan Eddy Gabathuler. For more Romania photos visit our Facebook album.
Meanwhile in Turkey Country Representative Omer Salih Cengiz and Ismail Yildirim conducted an IFK seminar with 275 participants.
On May 31st 2014, Moscow hosted the 3rd Absolute Championship of Russia Kyokushinkai among men and women.
IFK fighters took coveted places Maria Panova from Novosibirisk gaining 2nd Place and Marina Sobania of St Petersburg 3rd place in the womens division. Maxim Veselov of St Petersburg took 5th Place and Artur Tilov from Yamburg to 7th Place.
In the final match teammates David Sarhoshyan and Ivan Mezencev (both non-IFK) met.
Both women in the final are world champions making for an exciting match-up with Ulyana Greenschikova beating Maria Panova.

On the 17-18 May the 1st JFKO All Japan Weight tournament took place in Osaka. JFKO and Shinkyokushin President invited Shihan Yuri Trutnev Chair of the KWU for discussions and it was agreed Shinkyokushin would cooperate with the KWU for future events.
15 countries travelled to Novy Urengoy City, Russia to battle it out for the Yamburg Cup.
Participating countries included Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Lebanon, Hungary, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Fethi Nasra of Tunisia and Ki Sun Park of South Korea are both IFK Country Representatives. Ki Sun is based in Seoul with his dojo in Gangwon.
Historic and incredible records were achieved at the IFK World Kata tournament held every four years, which make the records even more remarkable.
Darren Stringer (Team GB) created Kyokushin history by winning the World Kata tournament on three consecutive occasions by pipping his rival Andrey Khimichenko (Team Russia) by 0.1 piont in his final kata Seipai.
The team event saw Team Russia take victory as World Team Champions for an unprecendented four (4) consecutive world titles. A truly consistently high standard of kata demonstration from the RKKF competitors.

The event was a tremendous success.
The motto β time to be Unitedβ showed the level of cooperation between the organisations was truly remarkable. A total of 52 countries were entered into the event and although around 10 countries were refused visas there was still approximately 250 participants.
Hanshi Arneil has expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the effort made by all participating countries to make sure the IFK was represented in this event and to give the young athletes from the IFK the opportunity to compete in this first event of its kind.
14 weight Divisions with only 5 kilo weight difference meant the fighters could did not have to worry about weight or board decisions so the champions were truly the best fighters.
The IFK were represented at both competitor and judging levels by a total of 19 countries. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Argentina, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Great Britain, Kuwait, Iran, Ireland, Lebanon, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.
The IFK took an incredible 21 of 41 prizes with IFK Russia dominating with 10 Gold medals and 2 Silver.
