Historic records set at World Kata tournament in Belgium for GB and Russia

Historic and incredible records were achieved at the IFK World Kata tournament held every four years, which make the records even more remarkable.

Darren Stringer (Team GB) created Kyokushin history by winning the World Kata tournament on three consecutive occasions by pipping his rival Andrey Khimichenko (Team Russia) by 0.1 piont in his final kata Seipai.

The team event saw Team Russia take victory as World Team Champions for an unprecendented four (4) consecutive world titles.  A truly consistently high standard of kata demonstration from the RKKF competitors.
